Lee Rainie and Barry Wellman have written: "The Individual in a Networked World: Two Scenarios".
A future scenario is this:
1. Your computer will only let you see what the big corporations want you to see.
2. Everything will have adverts, designed according to the data collected on you by the big corporations.
Before you can read an e-mail, there may be a 30 second advert that you have to watch.
The adverts will use up a lot of bandwidth.
3. The material that you put onto the internet, blog entries videos and photos, will be the property of the big corporations.
